Pregnancy Loss & Early Infant Death Resources

Compiled by Hannah's Prayer

"Each year, over half a million dreams are shattered. Out of 3.3 million babies born alive, some 30,000 die during the first 28 days. Another 33,000 babies are stillborn. Miscarriage occurs in 15 to 20 percent of pregnancies, while ectopic pregnancy occurs in one percent."
When a Baby Dies: A Handbook for Healing and Help, Rana Limbo and Sara Wheeler, RTS Bereavement Services, 1995

Whether your loss happened very early in pregnancy, sometime within the first few month's after your child's birth, or at any point in between, we pray that you will find comfort, encourage and support here. We realize that with such a wide range of issues in our "loss" category, that your needs will differ greatly, even as you share many similar struggles.  The page you are currently viewing lists helpful resources for anyone grieving the death of a baby in pregnancy or infancy.  By scrolling towards the bottom of this page and following our links another level into the web site, you will find detailed resources tailored to address your specific issues.

Our hearts go out to you, as we seek to let you know that you are not alone in your devastating pain. Many others have walked in your shoes, and sadly many more will follow behind you. The comfort comes from knowing that God is always walking with you even in the worst pain. He understands the heart of a grieving parent, for He watched His own son die that we might know Him. There is also great reassurance in the belief that our children are awaiting us in heaven! (If you don't have assurance that you will be in Heaven where you will be united with your precious babies, please see what it means to be a Christian.)
